FUNDRAISER FOR MICOP

Heartland: A new series of hand-painted cyanotypes to raise funds for MICOP — a self-governing, woman founded organization supporting Indigenous migrant farmworker communities on California’s Central Coast.

MICOP aims to support, organize, and empower migrant communities across California’s Central Coast—offering language justice, legal defense, labor advocacy, and cultural programs rooted in autonomy and care. We envision a strong indigenous immigrant community actively engaged to achieve just working and living conditions, equality, and full human rights in the broader community.

Each Heartland print is unique, created from a barbed-wire sculpture exposed to sunlight, then tinted with bleach + green tea and painted with a gesture representing land, labor, and the feminine. Printed on watercolor paper, 11 x 15 inches, edition of 16.
